What is the pick-up bus?

The pickup bus starts as a free broom wagon at 1.30 pm on 23 June from in front of the MSV Arena in Duisburg and collects ‘stranded cyclists’ from the service points along the way. At around 4 pm it will arrive at the 200-km service point and depart from there at 4.45 pm. At an average tour speed of 18 km/h plus a 1-hour break, the pick-up bus can thus be met, for example, at the 200-km service point. The pick-up bus will arrive at Bensersiel at around 6.30 pm. We recommend using the R2NSC app to make sure you don’t miss the pick-up bus! This will track your current location and that of the pick-up bus – to help guarantee that you can be at the right place at the right time. The pick-up bus stopping point can be agreed at any time via hotline SMS/phone call. Please note: there is limited space on the pick-up bus; the rule is first come, first served.
